Perth Australia post-shoegaze four piece Gloam have announced their new EP titled 'Well Dwelling' set for release on October 4, 2024. The band shared new singles "Hinder" and "Diving Heavy" earlier this year, establishing them as ones to watch with their dreamy blend of emo, rock and shoegaze. Gloam have already made a significant impact in their Perth hometown, having played shows with international alternative icons Deafhaven, Movements, Boston Manor, Touché Amoré, Hubris and more. Forming in early 2022, Gloam have already carved a name for themselves in their corner of the world. Drawing inspiration from iconic shoegaze and alt rock acts to the likes of Deftones, Diiv, Deafheaven, Nothing, Slowdive, and Whirr, Gloam take listeners on an immersive, genre-defying journey. Their swirling shoegaze style has proven to appeal to a diverse range of fans, resonating with followers of alternative, indie, hardcore, emo and metal music. The new EP "Well Dwelling" contains 5 tracks and acts as an inward reflection, covering various themes such as moving on, grief, anxiety, personal insecurities, growth, moments of hindsight and self-fulfillment. It encapsulates a moment of emotional maturing, welcoming new perspectives, silver linings in prior hardships and self-acceptance. Overall, the EP is a contemplative documentation; a platform for closure. Rowan Hardy takes on vocal duties and guitar while Oli Booth joins as lead guitarist, George Blacklock on drums and Oakie Digginson bass.
