Zig Zag

Juicin, the Chicago-based rock group consisting of Ryan Davis (Sleepwalk, Astrobrite) and Tyler Gargula (Sleepwalk, Muted Color) have announced their debut EP titled "Zig Zag" set for release on February 28, 2025. Started in 2022 as a side project, Ryan and Tyler were at their practice space one day and started jamming ideas that were more 90s noise pop and melodic hardcore influenced. While both members currently play in shoegaze and dream-pop leaning bands (Sleepwalk, Muted Color), Juicin was an outlet for them to fulfill new ideas that wouldn't quite fit in their other bands. The result is 4 melodic fuzzed out noise-pop bangers, containing buzzing guitars and pounding drums with hooks to boot, similar to bands like Hotline TNT, Superheaven, Title Fight, Ovlov, Big Bite, Bugg and the like. While elements of their mainstay bands can be heard, you can certainly hear the punchier, heavier, hook-laden approach to the new songs they're writing for Juicin. Check out the latest single and video for their song "Sick Joke" taken from the forthcoming EP.
