Muted Color, the Chicago shoegaze / dream-pop band from Chicago, IL have announced their debut LP titled "take i lovely you" for Fever Ltd. (Heavenward, Fly Over States), set for release on July 5th, 2024. The new album will contain 8 brand new tracks produced by Zac Montez (Cloakroom, Keep, Whirr, Trauma Ray) that hearken back to 90s brit pop, shoegaze and dream pop with it's own updated take on the classic sound. The songs are bursting with melody, lush and layered guitars full of reverb and feedback, along with their signature dreamy verses and hook laden choruses. The album follows the well received Radial EP, also released on Fever LTD in 2022. The band has also released the lead off single "sudden change," a slice of jangly dream pop that wouldn't be out of place with some of your favorite 90s bands, while fitting right in with this new crop of shoegaze revival bands as well.
