Prison On A HillSomos

Tiny Engines welcomed Boston's Somos back to the TE roster earlier this year. The label will release the band's third full-length, Prison On A Hill, tentatively scheduled for October 11, 2019. The new album was recorded with Jay Maas (Defeater, Bane, Title Fight) in Boston this past Winter. The album follows up the band's sophomore album, First Day Back, released on Hopeless Records in 2016. Tiny Engines released the band's break out debut album, Temple of Plenty, in 2014.

Update: Due to the unfortunate and untimely passing of Somos guitraist Phil Haggerty this past week, the band's upcoming new album, Prison On A Hill, will be available early, week of August 11th only, with all donations going to the family's funeral expenses. Please donate if you can. The album is available on their bandcamp page. It will be officially released on all streaming platforms later this fall.

Their best album yet

August 14th, 2019

Although I hate that I'm listening to the new Somos album early due to the unfortunate circumstances of their guitar player's passing, I can honestly say this is by far their best work yet. Phil should be proud of the work he put into this record and its results. It's just a shame he won't be around to see all the praise this album receives or watch kids sing along to these emo/indie-pop anthems when played live. Hopefully his memory will live on through these songs and the band will continue on in support of this record. I look forward to its official release.
