Broward County, Florida noise rockers Smelter are gearing up to release their sophomore EP titled "New Skin" set for release on September 19, 2023 via Tiger Records. The EP will contain 4 new tracks that were recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by Jonathan Nunez of Torche. The band's previous EP, "Muffler" released in 2021 is available on streaming services everywhere and is worth checking out. Smelter pull from 90s distortion fueled heavy alternative rock, post-grunge and shoegaze, with big melodies, fuzzed out guitars, and catchy hooks, similar to bands like Hum, early Smashing Pumpkins, Dinosaur Jr, Sugar, and Swervedriver. Furthermore, any fan of newer bands like Narrow Head, Superbloom, Fake Eyes, Dosser, Nothing and the like will definitely find something to love about this band.
