The album will contain 10 songs, including a newly recorded version of the previously released 'Love Never'. As Adkins himself puts it, “Surviving explores some of the different kinds of weights my ego tells me I have to carry, what I see people around me choosing to carry and what I have found to be the truth when I choose to let go”. The 10-track album, which was produced by the band and Integrity Blues producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen. The first two songs are out now including the official video for 'All The Way (Stay)' which can be viewed below, and the re-recorded version of 'Love Never' can be streamed below. They will also be doing a fall tour in support of the release. Tickets on sale Friday, 9/27 at 10am local.

Jimmy Eat World are back and still surviving

Great to see one of my all time favorites still at it after 25 years. Looking forward to their 10th studio full length. I expect more variety on this album than what the new single indicates. All The Way (Stay) is definitely a melodic guitar driven rock and roll song, with a solid melody and great hook, but it seems very safe for them (and makes sense as a first single). The sax solo at the end was a nice touch, giving the song a serious 80s vibe. The re-recorded version of Love Never sounds big, but I've head this song so many times, it's hard to really distinguish the two versions at this point. Really looking forward to what the rest of this album has to offer and plan to post some first impressions as soon as I get a chance to hear it. October 18th is right around the corner!
