The Ceiling

Birmingham trio Jaws return with their forthcoming third album The Ceiling, which will be released on April 5th 2019. The album was once again recorded with Gethin Pearson who also worked on their previous and spectacular album Simplicity (2016). Listen to the first three singles Driving At Night, Do You Remember, and Fear below. The three songs showcase classic Jaws while still offering diversity and some new exploration and experimentation as well.

Jaws are back and sounding better than ever...

From the 3 singles released so far, Jaws 3rd LP The Ceiling is shaping up to be a possible contender for AOTY. I thought Spielbergs might hold that spot, and they still could, but these new Jaws songs are sounding pretty fantastic! I read that the singer said he channeled the Cure and Title Fight for some of this album. That's a pretty great combination if you ask me! Looking forward to their latest offering of melodic jangly dream pop mixed with fuzzed out indie pop/punk.

Not sure how I feel about this new direction

JAWS last LP was on regular rotation for me for a few months. Passionate, emotive 80's sounding indie rock jams with solid hooks. I'm eager to hear their new one, and hope they haven't taken too much of a departure from their signature sound.
