Bedridden
Bedridden is a sludgy shoegaze band based in Brooklyn led by singer/songwriter/guitarist Jack Riley who draw inspiration from the loud and fuzzed out alternative guitar rock of the 90s. Bedridden began in New Orleans when Riley was in college, where he enlisted bassist Sebastian Duzian and drummer Nicholas Pedroza to form a live band. The initial lineup shared their debut EP, Amateur Heartthrob in 2023, which includes fan-favorite songs like “Clara’s Mouth” and “Soft Soap.” Now a Brooklyn-based project, the trio recently added guitarist Wesley Wolffe to the mix and are gearing up for the release of their debut LP via Julia's War Recordings, for fans of Narrow Head, Hum, Smashing Pumpkins

Bedridden announce debut LP on Juliar's War Recordings
Brooklyn based heavy rockers Bedridden is set to release their debut album "Moths Strapped to Each Other's Backs" on April 11, 2025, via Julai's War Recordings. The first preview of the record arrives today in the form of “Etch,” a melancholic song driven by anger and the need for release through violence. Guitar riffs pass through each other like missed punches but bandleader Jack Riley’s vocals land like a sucker punch.
The album is a collection of ten songs that delve into tumultuous adult life with a mix of fuzzed-out guitar riffs, influenced by a blend of 90s inspired shoegaze, punk, and indie / alt rock meant to be played loudly. On their debut LP, Bedridden's music mirrors a raw and confrontational energy similar to bands like Narrow Head, The Smashing Pumpkins, Hum, and Trauma Ray with buzzing guitars, and a range of tempos and dynamics.

The video was filmed in Phoenicia, NY during the making of the artwork for their imminent debut and edited by Victoria Winter (Shower Curtain).
“The song is written from my perspective about a time when I made an uncertain decision to move in with a partner and her friend and a slew of manic stories that ensued after the fact," vocalist and guitarist Jack Riley explains “One of the stories was that of the roommates incessantly searching to buy a new lamp and how it bothered me. The video is me trying to break through that anger by destroying the lamps.”
