Hard Chiller, a project by Steve Choi and Joe Vannucchi, draws inspiration from their previous work and 90s bands like Hum and Failure. Their debut EP, "Heavy Cell," blends old and new influences with a mix of heavy and dreamy sounds. The project includes band members from RX Bandits/The Sound of Animals Fighting, From Indian Lakes, No Motiv and The Velvet Teen, with the EP released on June 28th via Born Losers Records.

June 28, 2024Hard Chiller, a new musical project featuring Steve Choi (RX Bandits/The Sound of Animals Fighting) Joe Vannucchi (From Indian Lakes), Roger Camero (No Motiv) and Casey Deltz (The Velvet Teen) are gearing up to release their debut EP titled "Heavy Cell" on June 28, 2024 via Born Losers Records. The 4 songs offer a mix of 90s inspired dreamy but heavy guitar fueled spacey alt-rock, akin to bands like Failure, Deftones, Hum and Smashing Pumpkins, while still drawing inspiration from the band members' previous projects. The EP skillfully blends old and new, pretty and dark, hard and chill, resulting in a sound that is both heavy and dreamy, dense yet light, and one that is definitely worth checking out.
