Jr. Juggernaut
LA power trio Jr. Juggernaut is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, CA and currently signed to Mindpower Records. The band currently consists of singer/guitarist Mike Williamson, drummer Wal Rashidi, and bassist Noah Green (of L.A.'s The Pretty Flowers). The bands sound is a fresh take on the warm and fuzzy sounds of '90s style alt-rock with big melodies and hooks. Were MTV’s original incarnation of “120 Minutes” still on the air, Jr. Juggernaut's recent material would all be contenders for Buzz Bin video status. The band is heavily influenced by the guitar heavy 90s alt rock, punk and power pop in bands like The Replacements, Sugar, Hukser Du, early Goo Goo Dolls, and more current bands like The Gaslight Anthem, The Hold Steady, Beach Slang and the like.

Another Big Explosion
August 9, 2024LA power trio Jr. Juggernaut is releasing their new album 'Another Big Explosion' on August 9th, 2024, under Mindpower Records. Their sound is an exceptionally current, fresh take of the fuzzy '90s alt-rock from the "120 Minutes" era of MTV, with a driving mix of melody and distortion drenched guitars, drawing comparisons to bands like Sugar, Husker Du, The Replacements, Dinosaur Jr. and early Goo Goo Dolls, along with more contemporary bands like Beach Slang and The Gaslight Anthem. "For this record, I landed on an alternate tuning that let me play thick power chords while the top strings continued to ring out, like a shiny chime on top of a chugging locomotive," says singer/guitarist Mike Williamson. "This informed the entire soundscape of the album and gave us what I think is simultaneously our heaviest and prettiest album yet." Their new single "Everything I Touch" from the forthcoming LP is now streaming on all digital streaming platforms.
