Teenage Seance

Regionals are a punk/emo band hailing from Sydney’s inner west, featuring former members of The Mission in Motion, who are gearing up for the release of their 2nd EP, ‘Teenage Seance’ set to release on May 15, 2020. United by a love of mid-90’s emo, punk & grunge music they formed in 2016 and spent 18 months writing, rehearsing and coming up with ridiculous song titles before entering the studio with engineer Dylan Adams (West Thebarton, Horror my Friend, Oslow) to record a double A-side single in July 2017. Their first single ‘Piss & Biscuits’ was added to high rotation on JJJ Unearthed radio and saw Regionals added as a JJJ Unearthed feature artist. Their 2nd single ‘Devils Backbone’, was then played on Triple J’s ‘Short.Fast.Loud’ Program.

Having continued to develop their sound, which included buying more guitar pedals than any person would actually ever need, they hit The Brain Studios in June/July 2018 to record their debut EP, ‘Sentimental Health’ with Clayton Segelov (Corpus, Endless Heights, Sleepmakeswaves). The recording was then shipped off to the UK to be mixed & mastered by Lewis Johns (Funeral for a Friend, Muncie Girls, Gnarwolves). The lead single from the EP, ‘Gatorade Saxophone’, received JJJ airplay and featured on a number of Spotify curated playlists (including Spotify USA’s ‘New Punk Tracks’ and ‘The Scene’ and Spotify Australia’s ‘Rock Out’ and ‘Local Noise’ playlists).
