Regionals
Regionals, are an alternative rock band based in Sydney, Australia. The band has released two EPs and will release their debut album "Spoonbender" after a four year period of experimentation and development. The album showcases a more extreme and experimental sound blending emo, dream pop, and post-hardcore elements. Adding in the light & shade of lush, atmospheric textures and jangly guitars with the abrasive attack of heavy guitars and vocal screams, Regionals have reshaped their sound to something more expansive and exciting.

August 23, 2024Australian alternative rock band Regionals will be releasing their debut LP, "Spoonbender," on August 23, 2024 via Scary Stories & Team Glasses Records. The album showcases a shift towards a more extreme and experimental sound, combining emo roots with dream-pop/shoegaze and post-hardcore influences marked by lush, atmospheric textures and jangly guitars with the abrasive attack of heavy guitars and vocal screams. Their latest single "291" gives a taste of their expansive new direction and sonic landscape, featuring layered instrumentation and atmospheric textures, drawing comparisons to Mew, Deafcult, Pianos Become the Teeth, and Touche Amore.

May 15, 2020Regionals, a Sydney-based punk/emo band, is set to release their 2nd EP 'Teenage Seance' on May 15, 2020. Influenced by mid-90’s emo, punk, and grunge, their music has been featured on JJJ Unearthed radio and Triple J's 'Short.Fast.Loud' Program.
With a sound that evolved through experimentation and studio work, Regionals' debut EP 'Sentimental Health' received airplay on JJJ and Spotify curated playlists. Their latest single "Steady Hands" offers a preview of what to expect from their upcoming release.
