Oakland, CA infectious anthemic indie-rock / post-punk band The Co Founder will release their new full length LP titled "Never Miss An Opportunity To Shut The Fuck Up" on May 17, 2024 via Acrobat Unstable.The band started recording their new album in 2023 with producer Jordan Krimston of Oso Oso and Weatherbox resulting in 10 hook laden indie-punk anthems with singalong pop hooks. Shortly into the album process, mix engineer Daniel Charlson introduced the band to Jordan Pundik (New Found Glory), who sang harmony vocals on the record. The band's earlier material has previously drawn comparisons to Manchester Orchestra, Restorations and Pinegrove with their latest material having more in common with bands like Death Lens, Spiritual Cramp, Militarie Gun and Webbed Wing. On the new LP, you can also hear 90s alt rock influences from bands like Third Eye Blind and Gin Blossoms making its way into their sound. Their latest single "Shoes For Runners" from the forthcoming LP sounds like a punkier version of the Gin Blossoms and can be streamed below.
